1998 Fiat Brava

Dear Stuart,

Very impressive things you have done!

I wonder whether you could help to clarify the follow sentence I found in your website:
"1998 Fiat Brava which was a terrible car."
As I'm considering to buy such model, it would be
nice to know if you just did like the specific car or the whole idea?

Appreciate your attention.
Best regards,
Gala

Re: 1998 Fiat Brava

Hi Gala. That must have been the green one, As we have owned 3.
The green one was just a bad car that had little faults go on it like window rubbers coming off and the sunroof leaking. It didn't help that the Dealer (a non Fiat dealer I should stress) wasn't interested in putting the faults right. I didn't like the colour either.

They are excellent family cars for very little money. Plenty of room for 5 and for prams and all the other gear needed for small people. My wife loved the 2 other ones. Specially the blue one, it was very clean.
The 1.4's can be a little harder on petrol than equivilent sized cars but I always thought it was a nice trade off because the cars were so responsive compered to other makes. They felt sporty.
The 1.9TD would be the best all rounder with excellent fuel economy.
Yes I would highly rate them even now.
