Little guide to changing front springs on a Panda.

To do the job you need 17mm socket, 17mm spanner, 13mm socket, 13mm spanner and spring compresors. If you have all these the job shouldn't take more than 2 hours.

First job is to remove the steering arm bracket. 2 13mm nut and bolts hold it on.

Photo below shows one of the bolts removed.

Once this is done remove the flexi brake pipe. It might be tightened on with a 10mm bolt.
Next remove the 2 17mm nut and bolts which connects the damper to the stub axle. When they have been removed the damper can be released with a gentle tap using a hammer.

The damper will be hanging now and its only a matter of taking off the 2 13mm nuts on the top mount so the damper can be taken out.

a 17mm nut has to be removed from the top of the damper and once it along with rest of the plates for the top of the damper have been removed the sring can just be lifted out. I didn't have to use the spring compressors for the lowered spring as it just fell out.
However to put the long spring in the compressors are needed. Make sure the plates are all put in the way they came out, you don't want to have to strip the lot again.

Once the dampers all back together putting it back in is just the reverse to taking it out. Start by hanging the damper off the off the strut mount losely first.

The standard springs back in. Brings the ride height up quite a bit.
I gave the car a good polish to.
