I really wanted to thank you for the memories that you have posted here. I am a 1976 grad of HHS. I now live in Kentucky and the last time I was in Hammond was for my Daddy's funeral and things sure had changed in such a short few years!!! I remember Maid-Rite and I also remember one of the waitresses, her name was Glenda Smith,she moved to Las Vegas and became a black jack dealer,if anyone knows anything else about her please let me know, she was a family friend and we lost touch years ago. I was also wondering if you might have a picture of the old Lafayette Jr. High that was on the corner of Sibley and Calumet Ave. Does anyone remember Arnie's Hot Dog house that was on Calumet across from Lafayette or the Modeling School that was there on Calumet Ave too??? Wow!!! Now I am going back huh??? Thanks again for the memories and the recipe for Maid-Rite yummmmmmmmmm
