I just want to remind our friends that there are NO Banks or ATM machines in the town of Hinunangan. Surprising eh? especially for a town with over 28,000 residents. But when you realize that the eastern shore of Southern Leyte was until around five years ago the filipino equivalent of "the lost continent" with no roads, limited electricity and no phone lines.
Fortunately that has now all changed, except for the phone land lines. There is however a money changing facility. So when you visit make sure you bring enough local currency as the nearest ATM is a two hour drive away
