I received word yesterday that Francis Smyth he was an AG, not sure of the rank, I served with him in the OA division my lasdt two years of m enlistment 79-81. He got cancer 2 yrs ago and has lost his fight, his funeral was yesterday, he was shipmate apart of our great ship, His address is Francis Smyth, 6432 Tappahannock Drive, Norfolk, VA 23509. He was never a member of the association, but he was a class act sailor. I would like to ask if the Association can send a card, I am sure is 16 yr old daughter and his wife would honor that.
