I was looking at Kitty Hawk in Wikipedia
today.
Interestingly, it says that the current plan
For KH is that it is "on hold for donation"
to a group in Wilmington, NC.
The implication is that this will happen
following the commissioning of the
Gerald R Ford.
Personally, I just want to see the Kitty
become a museum, no matter where it
happens.
I hope that no matter where this great
ship ends up, that the monies donated to
bring her to Long Beach, Pensacola, or
Wilmington would end up in the hands of
the group who gets her. Where else would
that money go??

After living in Wilmington and visiting the USS North Carolina many times, I would love to see the Kitty Hawk parked right next door on the Cape Fear River. Thanks Virgil for the update.
