I am searching for information about my father-in-law, Gale "Windy" Worden.
He was an ETR2 and 26 years old when he was killed in Subic Bay on Christmas Day in 1967.
What we have “heard” is that he was killed coming off a ship on a motorcycle. We do not know the validity of this information and have been unsuccessful in finding anything at all about him or his death. Somewhere, there is someone that served with him and knows what happened to him.
We do not know what “unit” he was attached to or if he was stationed there or just passing through on a ship...but someone must have known him.
I’d appreciate any help anyone could give at all. I am attaching a link to his Find A Grave site, which contains his headstone and a high school graduation picture of him because it’s all we have.
