My grandfather served on the Kitty Hawk from 64-78(??) His name was Ronald Padden, and he sparked my interest in military history. He passed away on Thanksgiving 2000, and since my grandparents weren't together, I found out about his death on the Internet. I am looking for anyone who knew him to share their stories about him. I served aboard the Kitty Hawk from 1/1976 to 8/1979, and since the Kitty Hawk sailed for the West Pacific cruise (WESTPAC) on 10/1978, I may be able to find his name from the Cruise Book. That is . . . if he sailed during that particular cruise. I'll get back to you soon.
