I think that one way to "tell" your dad would be to try pretending your just about to go veggie. Or maybe try making yourself look "squemish" lol. I know this can actualy work because I once did this to a friend and that's how he found out i was veggie. If your watching a programm and something "meaty" or just nasty comes up then say something like "eww that looks nasty". Thats how my friend found out lol. Though I still think the best way is just to tell him. Tell him that you are a vegetarian as a reply if he makes a remark aimed towards them. He should support your feelings and the choices that you make, as a dad. Tell him why. He cant argue with that. Hope there is something usefull in that jumble of text.
I know from experience that it is hard to convince some people that you need to be a veg*n. My parents were very unsupportive but one day I decided that I would tell them. I figured, it's my choice, and it's not like they can force me to eat anything. It didn't go too well for me because now I have to cook my own meals and buy my own food, but I know some people will be more understanding. Just try to have a calm conversation with him and explain why you feel this way. I hope it works out.
I just said i don't like beef, then a week later i didn't like chicken and carried on like that. I even went on hunger strike for about a week. It doesn't get any easier but u made da rite decision!
