Travelling to Ladies and Juniors Nationals at night

Just so everyone is aware if you are travelling down to Stroud to race or support people at the Ladies and Juniors Nationals this weekend:

A MAIN route in Gloucestershire will be shut tonight at the start of a series of nightly closures.

The A417 trunk road between the Air Balloon roundabout and the Burford Road junction will be closed overnight to carry out routine maintenance work, including surfacing, studding and white lining.

The closures will be in place from 8pm until 6am the following morning and will be in operation until November 3.

The works will be phased to minimise disruption and will include closure of both carriageways of the A417 trunk road between the Air Balloon roundabout, near Cheltenham, and the A429 Burford Road junction, Cirencester, the southbound and northbound entry and exit slip roads at the A417 Quarry junction, and the southbound exit slip road and the northbound entry slip road at the A417 Burford Road junction.

Diversion routes will be in place.

Southbound traffic will be diverted from the Air Balloon roundabout to travel east along the A436 and A40 to join the A429 near Northleach and travel south to the A417 Burford Road junction.

Northbound traffic will be diverted at the Burford Road junction to follow the above diversion in reverse to reach the Air Balloon roundabout.

Drivers wishing to join the A417 at the Quarry Road junction will be diverted via Stratton and Cirencester to the Burford Road junction to either continue south or join the northbound diversion route.

Re: Travelling to Ladies and Juniors Nationals at night

Why not just go straight down M4 to M5, head north to Junction 12 and you are 1/2 mile from the track, so simple and no longer in time, done it many times.
