Message from NASA regarding rollcages.

Message from NASA.

Following on from the recent information given, and concerns within the membership, NASA will be randomly testing roll cage thickness and general construction of roll cages.
Testing will take place at race meetings across the country, at club level as well as UKAC and BAS championships.
Once tested, if everything meets the requirement, the cage will be passed and fitted with a non removable, individually numbered tag.
In addition to this and to save time at race meetings, also to save disappointment for members who's roll cages do not meet requirement at a race meeting, NASA are considering holding some scrutineering evenings at Central locations, to be confirmed, this will depend on interest from enough people.
Please note that once a roll cage is checked and has failed, the car will no longer be able to race, this will even apply if you are mid way through a race meeting.
If you are interested in attending an evening scrutineering session please email your name, car number, class and a phone number to Diane Tomkinson (NASA secretary)
