19-Nov-15 And still present off Blue Anchor this morning, per Twitter.
Nov 20, 2015 Surf Scoter still visible today at Blue Anchor just before high tide.
21-Nov-15 And still present this morning in Blue Anchor Bay, opposite the cafe, per Chris Gladman.
Yesterday a Bonxie had a go at it but it just kept diving out the way. The Skua settled on the sea about 20 feet away from the scoter after a while and then gave up and flew east.
It was dive bombed by a herring gull this afternoon around high tide too, on very choppy sea.
Still present today (per pager). ABout 2 hours either side of high tide is best.
Still present and quite close to the seafront at 7:40am today, but rapidly became distant as the tide fell
Surf Scoter still this morning on falling tide opposite cafe. I have seen it diving in the waves (surf) several times now at half tide.
Hi Chris, A great find from your good self and a rather unexpected Addition to my County List last week. Thank You. John
