Westhay Bittern

A close view of a Bittern flying overhead and dropping down by the hide at Westhay (the hide at the end of London Drove).

Its presence really frightened the ducks as it flew over, perhaps they thought it was a Marsh harrier (like I did initially!)

Also:
1 Kingfisher
2 active GWEs, fighting/flirting with each other
1 Kestrel
7 Little Egrets in the field opposite the entrance
Plenty of winter ducks

PS: No water at Catcott...
