Sunday 1st of November.
Four species of the Thrush family in my Yew tree feeding on berries.
Mistle-Thrush ,Fieldfare,Blackbirds, and Redwings. Also one Goldcrest five Greenfinch,Chaffinch, Blue and GreatTits found shelter from a Peregrine that passed over escorted by the local Jackdaws.
Elsewhere,
Snipe flew along Daggs Drove as I approached Viredor hide Westhay NNR. Kingfisher and G-s-Woodpecker in front of the hide but little else.
Shapwick Heath.
A heavy mist was covering the reserve but an active Juvenile Kingfisher and a G-c-Grebe seemed not to notice, breakfast was more important.
Green and G-s-Woodpeckers feeding at my neighbours garden.
Am I right in thinking that there is an influx of Blackbirds I am seeing so many at the moment ?
