Re: Cattle Egret Steart WWT

Cattle Egret still present in the same area today. Also an immature Spoonbill dropped in to Otterhampton Marshes at midday before quickly moving to the main intertidal area where it spent the rest of the afternoon feeding.

Re: Cattle Egret Steart WWT

Cattle egret present again today around 3pm on the stockland marshes but very mobile as it was flushed several times by a farm quad bike. Moved around the fields then ended up in the area adjacent to the farm buildings near some hay bales. A flock of fieldfare also in the area. Nice views of a short eared owl earlier on in the day along wall common hunting in the fog.

Re: Cattle Egret Steart WWT

Agreed Cattle Egret was very difficult to locate, not sure if that was you, Angela, I spoke to on the marshes this afternoon.

Also, a number of SEOs (2 or 3) on Wall Common in the fading evening light and heavy fog. One particular bird is beautiful with a light brown head and chest but very dark wings and tail.
