Big flock of Avocets along Stockland Reach (Parret Estuary) this morning, as viewed from the Huntspill Sluice. I counted 196, then about 30 more flew up from under the near bank, so at least 220 birds present. Not much else of any note and no sign of a Water Pipit after trudging around the fresh marsh where the cattle are.

Catcott Lows car park hide has a new roof, complete with 3 translucent panels, so now light and airy inside. Should please Alan as looks nice and dry!
