Disappointingly little on the move over the tops today, though Reed buntings were plentiful on Black Down and Priddy Mineries, suggesting recent movement.
Highlights:
merlin and two crossbills over Black Down;
a showy firecrest at Priddy Mineries (old lead works at the lower end of the site, around a pair of fruiting yews that were mobbed with thrushes);
26 golden plover above Draycott Sleights and at least one heard over the Mineries.
