Hen Harrier Westhay

A morning visit to Westhay NNR. today was nicely rounded off by a flyby N.West to S.East of a ring tailed Hen Harrier at 1345 hrs and no it wasn't the Harris Hawk that I gather as been seen over the area! Beardies, Marsh Harriers , Bittern and an Otter at lunchtime were the other things of note.
Subsequently making a visit to the Avalon Marshes centre at 1500 hrs I was informed that a Harris Hawk wearing jesses had been seen overhead during this morning along the Shapwick to Westhay road.
