Located by James Packer in grassy fields along the southern edge of the South Drain, as viewed looking east from the road bridge between Burtle and Catcott. It was with 3 Little Egrets when I caught up with it, but soon flew off with one of these and hadn't returned by 1600 hrs.
A Cattle Egret was again present at 1800 hrs this Sat. eve. 400M east of the Catcott Line Gate bridge, it was on the north bank of the South Drain in the field with the nearest of the two Owl boxes. After 15 mins it flew north towards Godwins Peat works.
The Cattle Egret had been at Canada Farm all morning and was present from about 1230 to 1430 when it flew off towards Catcott. No signal at Canada Farm so unable to put anything out until later.
Cattle egret showed up distantly on the far right at Canada farm lake. Hanging around with some Cormorants. He was there for at least 3 hours. The worst picture of a Cattle egret ever is on the site.

I watched a (?the) Cattle Egret for about 15 minutes at Ham Wall this afternoon. I was walking along the grassy track on the north bank of the drain between the new footbridge and the second viewing platform. Just visible through the tops of the reeds, it was with a sizeable gathering of Lapwing, Gadwall, Wigeon, Teal etc but flew off at 3.30.
A series of sightings of individual Great Egrets culminated in two flying together and at least 2 Marsh Harriers were present.
Cattle Egret at Canada Farm Lake, Shapwick Heath, perched with 3 loafing Cormorants among dead trees looking diagonally right from hide. There when we entered the hide at 1400 and still present at 1500 as we left.
