Torr Reservoir

Given happenings elsewhere I thought it worth paying a visit this afternoon before cooking a meal for my gloating French father-in-law.

Sadly no Terns were present. Of interest though were;

4 Sand Martins
1 Kingfisher
6 Barnacle Geese

One of the broods of Tufted Ducks now has 9 well grown young which is excellent work by the Mother tuftie.

I also managed to drive from Torr to Coleford with a pair of Shoes on the roof having decided to drive home in my Wellies. Whoops.

I hope they were Clarks!

Re: Torr Reservoir

Managed a visit this evening.....loads of Canada Geese but no Barnacles unfortunately!
Plenty of sand and house martins and swallows perched on fences.
One chiffchaff seen and kingfisher heard but not seen.
all gulls appeared to be lesser black backed but were very distant.
Looking forward to return visits once the rare gulls start turning up.

Re: Torr Reservoir

Just a few Sand Martins and a Grey Heron this morning, otherwise the usual present.

Re: Torr Reservoir

Singles of Redstart, Blackcap and a singing Chiffchaff (its that time of the year again when they burst back into Song) this evening.
