An early morning walk at Hodders Combe produced the following (my first time at this site - fabulous array of birds)
Redstart - 1 singing male, Wood Warbler 11(!), Great and Green Woodpeckers, Pied Flycatcher, Wheatear 5, Tree Pipit 2, Nightjar (heard calling early morning), Grey Wagtail 2, Redpoll - many on top of the Combe, Yellowhammer 3 and Cuckoo.
On to Steart - no sign of the Kentish Plover but some consolation in my first Lesser Whitethroat of the year and 12 Whimbrel.
We are so lucky to have such a wide range of habitats, a truly fantastic morning. Good birding all.
