I must have seen the same bird just after 4pm today flying north low over the woods to right of path by Noahs,a nice surprise! Several birders in Noahs hide saw it fly the length of the rear of Noahs, one man got some photos too.
This enormous beast flew right across Noah's Lake at around 16:05 today, providing the unexpected highlight of a good day on the Levels, including, across the area, a pair of Great White Egret, 5 pairs of Little Egret at a small heronry and a good number of Marsh Harriers, predominantly males, at 3 sites.

Looked for without success this morning and spent a fruitless hour touring around and checking most of the large roadside fields between here and Westhay Moor.
