Despite the beautiful weather- birding proved challenging on the moors.
Highlights included: 250+ Golden Plover "tinkling" around Dunkery; 2 pairs of Dippers nest building on Horner Water and the Barle; 2 Grey Wagtails doing the same; a lone Swallow over Wilmersham Common; a single Blackcap in song at Landacre Bridge (no Sand Martins again); Stonechats were in evidence on Dunkery and Chetsford Water; Ravens were displaying around Landacre and plenty of Buzzards in the air.
