Booming Bitterns galore on the 7th march wonderful sound on a real sunny spring afternoon.Wigeon still present along with shoveler, canada geese, great white egret, lapwing, cormorants.Hedgerows full of life longtailed tits, along with blue and great chaffinches.
.
What a lovely new car park just what ham wall wanted as it is so popular the other car park could not cope looking forward to seeing the new developments, all they need to do now is to sort out the roads its like coming down on a fair ground ride, does wonders for the suspension.Headed back to echo friendly bites ,blue tits everywhere also in the tree's behind a possible tree sparrow wonder if any body else had seen it is possible that they are in this area?

Re: ham wall

I was there too for a brief visit and also heard the bittern(s), but from Shapwick on the path down to Noah's hide. It's the first time I've heard them and at first I really did think it was trick of the strong breeze.
