Steart Marshes - 24 January 2015 (morning)

2 Whooper Swans in with flock of 25 Mute Swans adjacent to (and visible from) the Main Car Park. Present until at least 1145 hours.

Still present at 1430 hours (per Rog Musgrove).

However, better be quick if you want to see them because Rog needs this species on his list for nearby Catsford Commmon (his local patch)

Just received reports via Twitter of an unidentified character (apparently driving a red Royal Mail van) observed laying a trail of grain Westwards toward the Common!

2 whooper swan still with mute swan herd feeding in field to the north of WWT Steart Marshes main car park on Stert Drove.

Both birds still present today happily grazing with a herd of mutes next to the main car park.
