Bright and cold, and relatively quiet, but at 12.30 a flock of pintail arrived, landing in view of the hides. Looking closely at my photo, there are at least 150 individual pintail in the air.

A great morning at Greylake 18/01/2015 beautiful light as the mist lifted ,The RSPB lady doing web counts counted no less than 152 Pintail,the sky seemed full of them, one Buzzard ,one distance Peregrine,one Little Grebe, very good numbers of ducks, one Heron. Returning home via Tealham one Kestrel and two female Stonechats at Jacks Drove. Pictures on website.
