Plenty of Chiffchaffs around Decoy hide today including 2 excellent candidates for Sibe's. Neither called while I watched them but another birder told me he heard one and it called a flat, single note (or something similar).

I can't imagine how many Chiffchaffs are in the country at the moment. With Lesser Whitethroat, Common Whitethroat, Swallow and House Martin reported in recent days, I'd guess there must be tens of thousands of Chiffchaffs...

Good candidate for Sibe Chiffchaff on Loxton's Marsh (Ham Wall) this morning, together with usual brownish looking European race, but no calls!
