Purple Heron observed from the Westhay Carpark drove. 25m to the right of the first hide/ disable parking bay on a dead branch of a tree roosting at approx 11.30am.

Had another look just after lunchtime today and on arrival found a juv Grey Heron with brownish-grey upperparts, perched on one of the very same dead trees.
