Wryneck - Catsford Common

A Wryneck this morning feeding on the main track at Catsford Common halfway between Steart and Stolford (ST243455). It was present between 9.45 and 10.30 but had moved to the hedge at the back of the Common by noon and was not easy to see. Also a fly over Great White Egret, 2 Lesser Whitethroats, 5 Blackcaps, 2 C. Whitethroats, 2 Wheatears and a Willow Warbler.
Earlier on the beach at Wall Common amongst the waders 3 Curlew Sandpipers and before that a fly over flock of 5 Little Stints at WWT Steart Marshes.

Wryneck still present at 17:50 about 200m west of Eel pool in brambles by track, flew into dense cover and not seen again by 18:20. Also green woodpecker, kingfisher and med gull.

any news on this bird would be great as its my bogey bird,yep missed them all in 35 years of looking in somerset

Accoring to Twitter a Wryneck is still present at the Berrow Dunes Local Nature Reserve today. Good luck if you try.
