Andrew Asher managed to get some pictures of aLittle Bittern a number of weeks ago on the Somerset levels. I missed it unfortunately. I was lucky enough to hear 2 calling though. RSPB have said it is okay to show the pictures now.

Further info: The RSPB volunteers who were species monitoring at Ham Wall were aware of the Little Bitterns, which was kept partially under wraps in case a female appeared. Up to 4 males were present from early May, but there appears to have been no confirmed sighting of a female. The S.O.S. was waiting until the RSPB officially released news of these birds before posting it on its website.
