There was a solitary Black Tern on Noah's Lake yesterday (Tuesday) mid day until at least 1430 hrs. Not! in summer plumage!
Seen today at about 1.30 flying around in the middle of the lake. To far away for a picture unfortunately!. Had to make do with a GC grebe fishing under the hide. Some pictures and stuff on the site.
Still present between 15.00 and 16.00 today. Good, close-up views from the main track. Also, plenty of sand martins in the area and more than a dozen swifts.
