A Red Kite and a Buzzard were interacting over Cinnamon Lane this morning. Both were calling loudly as they enjoyed a roll and tumble and switched positions frequently above each other. They showed their talons to each other and did several tumbles and stoops. The ‘buoyancy’ of the Kite’s flight was very obvious in comparison. The Kite eventually sauntered off to the East, which is quite typical of when I’ve seen them here.
I saw a Red Kite over the A37, just north of the Podimore roundabout a few days before that. Thinking about it, that isn't very far away, as the Kite flies.
