In one long combe on monday breeding birds seen to be having a good season birds seen 14 redstarts
15 stonechats
15 linnets
15 windchats
also juls of willow warbler green woodpecker and spotted flycatcher
End of may pair of grey wagtails with 5 juls
On a downnote around Porlock greenfinches having a bad time again reports of dead birds been found in gardens .one local having found 6 dead birds in his garden .Interesting to know if this just local or more widespread

As for Greenfinches, we have more here in Coleford than for many years.

They are doing very well indeed.
