A walk from Home this evening to the Mells Stream brought its rewards with;

3 Broods of Tufted Ducks;

Brood 1) 6 very advanced young which all look set for survival,
Brood 2) Maybe about 7-9 days old, just 3 left
Brood 3) 8 Young with Mum and possibly 2-3 days old

Mute Swans with Cygnets
Little Grebes with young
2 Broods of Mallards

A good mixture of birds encountered whilst walking
