Not quite in Somerset, but just outside over heriot's pool, Chew Valley Lake around 12:30. Being this far south, I would normally say it was an escapee, but this bird was in seemingly perfect plumage, could fly and showed no sign if clipped wings. Only saw in flight so couldn't check for rings, but the birds ability to fly, perfect plumage and chew valley often being a good location for sea birds during migration season, I was wondering how probable it is that this bird could be wild?
