Bullfinch

Yesterday a pair of Bullfinch visited my garden in Glastonbury. They have become regular feeders through the various bushes and trees. Similar to Long Tails it's their distinctive call which announces their arrival. The males colour has been outstanding this Spring.

Re: Bullfinch

Since the beginning of March a pair of Bullfinches has been visiting our garden feeders (sunflower hearts) in Banwell regularly; many visits are made each day. Although we have seen them in the garden in previous years, this is the first time they have been recorded on feeders and so frequently. Interestingly, the female was completely absent for a two week period covering the end of April and beginning of May; incubation period perhaps?

Re: Bullfinch

I have had a pair of Bullfinch in my garden on the edge of Chewton Mendip since Christmas Day. They currently have 4 chicks and are very much still here. They have certainly been here for many years.
