8-10 Hobbies - insecting above 70 Arces, Noah's Lake and Meare Heath.

4-6 Sparrowhawk - an adult pair soaring together and displaying briefly early on, a separate adult male perched closeby for 10 minutes, a probably female (age undermined) soared up high above Meare Heath and then performed a spectacular vertical (hunting?) stoop, and two distant sightings of soaring hawks.

5-7 Marsh Harrier - various sightings throughout the day including 4 (adult male and 3 females) soaring together in early afternoon.

18+ Common Buzzard - soaring singles, pairs and groups of up to 7 hawks.

Thanks to Martin Cade for reporting his Osprey sighting - we searched but could not relocate it.

Also:

4-6+ Bittern - several booming throughout the day. Six seen in flight.
c50 Black-tailed Godwit
2 Redshank
4 Lapwing
10-12 Common Swift
1 Kingfisher
3 Garden Warbler
6+ Cetti's Warbler
2+ Bearded Reedling - male seen well adjacent to the main path along the edge of 70 Acres.
8+ Little Egret
300+ Barn Swallow
40+ Sand Martin
10+ House Martin
2-3 Cuckoo - two seen interacting together.

Fresh (only hours old) signs of at least two Otter adjacent to the main track along beside Noah's Lake.
