2 Yellow Wagtails still at Greylake this afternoon, though elusive; seen a couple of times only in 1.5 hrs from the old hide: one out to the right perched on the elec-fence and another flew in and landed 60 metres in front of the hide, both eventually disappearing among the deep tussocks diagonally-left from hide.
Also a sub-ad (2nd cal year?) male Marsh Harrier, 1 Raven, 2 Curlew, 2 Redshank, a booming Bittern, 2 singing Reed Warblers and 30 Sand Martins passed thro.

Re: Yellow Wagtails

Yellow wags still present seen at distance in front of the hide this morning at 11.30ish.
4 Common cranes circling and calling over reserve for a good 15 minutes. A good number of Lapwings seem to be busy breeding at the back of the reserve but within the fenced area.

Re: Yellow Wagtails

Still 2 Yellow Wagtails at Greylake from hide at 1pm today, though still distant - little more than yellow blobs in the scope. A few each of Sedge and Reed Warblers there too.

Met Steve Curtis who had seen one Yellow Wagtail at Catcott Lows earlier, and two Garganey.

Re: Yellow Wagtails

8 Yellow Wagtail on lagoon at WWT Steart Marshes this afternoon, with 12 White Wagtail.
