Catcott Lows now has a small amount of surface water showing, sufficient this afternoon to attract 300+ Wigeon, 200+ Lapwing with 20 Shoveller and similar numbers of Mallard and Teal and a dozen Snipe with singles of Kestrel and Sparrow Hawk. Worth calling in if you're passing.

Nice as well to see that the road to the hide has been substantially repaired and that the reeds seem far less prominent and are less likely to obscure the view.

A considerable increase in surface water now at Catcott! Today Tues. p.m. at least 1500 Duck present mostly Wigeon but 50+ Shoveller 100+ Teal 20+ Mallard and a similar number of Gadwall with around a dozen Pintail plus a couple of hundred Lapwing. There was a single Blk Wit present yesterday but no sign of it this afternoon.
