Not very far from you but strictly "out of Somerset" we coincidentally have two juvenile Bullfinches visiting a feeder in our Banwell garden. They first appeared together towards the end of August and, since then, one or the other but occasionally both have put in appearances just about every day. No adult birds have been seen during this period. They are pretty feisty individuals and are one of the few birds that more than hold their own against the belligerence of Greenfinches and Goldfinches, despite being heavily outnumbered by both.
