As I returned to the car park at the end of my walk at 4.30 this afternoon a Great White Egret was sitting in a bush out in the middle of the lagoon west of Dagg's Lane Drove. Accompanied by a Grey Heron, it flew around the car park and disappeared off towards Godney.
Not long after starting my walk about two hours earlier a Kingfisher had flown ahead of me along the drove and over on London Drove two Spotted Flycatchers were the best of the rest. Pleasant afternoon stroll.
