Swifts on the move?

20 Swifts over East Lyng moving South East at midday Saturday. So soon?

Noticed them the last few days overhead - none breed here now - last week in July has seen the main exodus for the last few years now..

Had 3 pairs nested in our house in street fledged last week so some are still breeding here

a walk around the village tonight[cheddar] and two different groups of swifts with about a dozen in each ,screaming well and not seemingly in a hurry to go anywhere

most have left Glastonbury, only a few lingering on.

One over my daughters garden (in the evening) in Street on Saturday 10 Aug.

I have not seen any since Aug 1 when there were 2 Swifts over my garden.

There have been a few around the Ilminster area i was in Dorset last night at Axemouth and Seaton there were a lot there skimming over the estuary so possibly they are moving south already appreciate its Dorset but quite a Few Little egrets on the mud flats at Axemouth

Half a dozen over Bishop's Hull at 08.00h this morning.

3 Swifts low in the drizzle over Ham Wall this morning and 2 over Noah's in the rain on Shapwick Heath around 2 o'clock this afternoon
