About 6-30 this morning I was looking at Allens Brook at the point where it flows past our patio when a MERLIN flew past me and disappeared into the trees which surround the former Priorswood Landfill Site !!!!! What on Earth is a Merlin doing in the middle of Bathpool at this time of year ??? When the bird flew past me it was no more than ten feet away and I am absolutely certain of my I.D. This was definitely NOT a Hobby!
