Excited neighbour has just been around to say that at least two young are being fed by the parents in the turning bay at the end of the Westport canal - watched from his kitchen window!Also 2 Little Egrets regularly.
Also along the canal lately found 9 Scarce Chasers during a short walk for those interested, and the first Scarlet tiger moth has emerged this morning at home - will be interesting to compare numbers this year after the last summer - nowhere near as many caterpillars this spring - used to have dozens of the moths 'swarmimg' around various parts of the garden on previous summer evenings...
