No sound or sight of any at favoured Quantocks sight last night upto 10.30pm.

For those that know the sites, this evening is ideal for Nightjars. Don't miss them, awesome sound

Quantocks, from 21.45 last night, 3, possibly 4 churring, one of which I had views down to about 30 feet

Last night was pretty good too! My third visit this year to one of the Mendips sites at last turned up a few birds. The first one did not start churring til about 10.00p.m. but I subsequently saw two bird flying. Also 4 Tawny Owls calling and a Gropper reeling.
