I have traced my family back to Armagh and possibly Lurgan. My gtgt granfather was reportedly a jeweller in Lurgan (more likely an employee). It appears that the whole family had to leave the area for Scotland due to one of the brothers reportedly setting fire to a church/village. I presume from a quick historical search that this was probably based on religion. Other members of the family were-
