I've just posted my own search and was reading through some others. During my search for family info I came up with this stuff about the Turkingtons. You probably already have it but who knows!
Rachel Gaddis marr. Francis Turkington 21 Dec 1872 in Shankill.
Francis Turkington b. 14 Dec 1888 Analoist, Lurgan, father- Francis, mother- Rachel Geddis.
Francis Turkington b. 8 Mar 1893 Annaloist, Lurgan, d. 16 Jan 1936. Same parents as above.
Francis Turkington b. 23 Mar 1834 Analoist, Lurgan, d. 11 Nov 1905 Shankill Parish, father- George, mother- Elizabeth.
George Turkington marr. Elizabeth 3 Oct 1830 Shankill.
children: George b. 23 May 1837 Analoist,
Sarah b. 1843 Analoist, Mary Ann b. 2 Jul 1830,
Francis b. 23 Mar 1834 Analoist.
George Turkington b. 17 Aug 1867 Lurgan, father- William, mother- Marther Foy.

I just came across your forum for Lurgan, Ireland. I was wondering if you have come across an Alexander Turkington, Sr.? He was born Bef 6 Oct 1816 in Lurgan, and died Bef 11 Sep 1851 in Ireland. He married Margaret Mairs/Myers and had two children: Margaret Myers & Alexander Turkington, Jr. After the death of Alexander, Sr., Margaret (Myers) Turkington married Thomas Surpless. These are the records that I found for Margaret Mairs. I would greatly appreciate it if you could tell me where I should look for the parents of both Alexander Turkington and Margaret Myers??? I do know that Margaret's father was Joseph and her mother was possibly Rachel.

Margaret Myers b. 17 Feb 1824 probably in Lurgan. Armagh, Ireland. I believe her father was Joseph (a farmer)
She married Alexander Turkington about 1845. He was christened at Shankill Parish, Lurgan, Armagh, Ireland in 1816. He died about 1851. She then married Thomas Surplus on 11 Sep 1851 at Seagoe Parish, Portadown, Armagh, Northern Ireland. They immigrated to Connecticut, USA in 1859.
