Wilsons from Lurgan

We have traced our ancestors back as far as Marthew (Matthew) Wilson - who was a Private in the 88th Regiment of Foot (1st battalion Connaught Rangers) who were barracked in Weedon Beck, Daventry, Northampton at the time of the 1851 census. In 1861 the family were resident in Cardiff. Marthew is show as having been born in Lurgan around 1819 - his wife Mary was born in (what looks like) Derryade, Armagh around 1815.

We would appreciate any assistance in tracing their marriage and families.

Re: Wilsons from Lurgan

Hi,
I was wondering if you have any information on an Elizabeth Wilson who had a son Thomas Patterson born 1832. She was a widow with the name of Patterson, but she was born in Lurgan circa 1806. We have a Thomas Patterson born in Lurgan 1856 and we are wondering if he might be the son of this Thomas Patterson, son of Elizabeth Wilson. If any of this is familiar could you please contact us, cheers Fiona Patterson.
