Hello there!!!

Hello there, as I have just joined, I thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Martyn and you may have seen me blundering around the Renal Unit at the lovely new Walsgrave site, or at Stratford. I am 41 and hoping to get a new kidney form my dad (if all the tests work out), or one from a generous donor (if they don't!!)
I am quite new to all of this kidney stuff, and it would be good to hear form people is a similar position. I will apologise in advance for my abysmal typing, my eyes aren't too good and I don't like this tiny font size!!

Regards

Martyn

Re: Hello there!!!

Hi Martyn

Glad you joined our site. It is great news to hear that you will be receiving a kidney from your dad. I have been transplanted 10 yrs, just having a bit of a blip at the mo, but it should be sorted this week. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask us.

Wishing you all the best.

Re: Hello there!!!

Hi Joanne

Thanks for that, I'll take you up of the offer. I hope that I get a chance to say hello at the AGM, although I guess there will be plenty of other people wanting to do the same!!

see you there

Re: Hello there!!!

Hi Martyn
Glad u have joined us and look forward to meeting you at the AGM. Hope u found the directions on the website ok. I have changed the font size in this chat room. Thanks for bringing it to my attention and let me know if it's still too small. I have had my transplant 9 years now from an unknown donor and all is well. I hope all goes well for a future transplant for u too.
Best wishes
Grace (webmaster)
