Re: David Burditt
Thank you for all your messages,
quick update,
He's now been moved out of Critical Care - all tubes are out!! - just on oxygen mask.
He's talking, eating & drinking now - we've never been so excited to see anyone drink a cup of tea!!!
Its been 24 days now since he went in and we can't believe how far he's come.
That is such wonderful news to hear that your grandad is out of critical care. You have done so well to keep strong through that time. I bet you were over the moon to see him drink and eat, I felt the same when I was in.
Do keep sending him our love and your grandma as well.
Love to you all

Re: David Burditt
My Grandad is now up on the Kidney ward - being watched over by Dr Fletcher.
He's off all tubes & oxygen now and is eating and drinking as usual!!
He might be having another operation soon on his foot, but his kidney is working well and so is everything else!
He's having physio which is really helping him.
We've promised him a dog when he comes out - so that's urging him on at the minute!!
Great news Sarah. Thanks for keeping us updated. Please send him our best wishes. I had a dog for my birthday when I was recovering from kidney failure and she was the best thing ever for my recovery. That was back in 1996 and she still gives me as much joy today - and gets me out for that much needed walk!!

So pleased your grandad is back on the kidney ward and eating well. I bet he will be chuffed with a dog when he comes out. Best wishes for his operation on his foot. Do send our love to your family, as we are thinking of you.
Lots of love

Hi, Sarah. What's the latest news on your Grandad?
he's back in Rugby now - on Mulberry ward - doing well at the minute with his physio.
They're looking into starting to get him home eventually so he's doing really well in general.

sorry to be the bearer of very bad news but sadly my amazing grandad David Burditt passed away this morning at 1am.
he fought for 9 hard months but sadly he couldn't fight any longer.
He passed away peacefully in his sleep, a dignified end for a wonderful man.
i'll put another message on here when we have arranged the funeral details.
sorry once again, and thank you for all your messages, i did pass them on and he was amazed by all your kind comments.
Thank you
